#1860: "circular locking dependency detected" error from kernel -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Type: defect Status: new | Priority: minor Component: ath5k | Version: trunk Keywords: | Patch_attached: 0 -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- The ath5k driver seems reliable until I try to do something that involves a lot of steady traffic on a local connection. That is, I don't ever notice errors when working on remote sites where there's comparatively more latency, but if I start to rsync a large directory which requires a lot of changes from a server on the same LAN as my AP, the connection will be dropped.
I'm using Fedora 9 beta at the moment, but I've been seeing the same behavior on the kernels in Fedora 8. The kernel output from the messages log is attached, as is the relevant section of lspci -vvv -- Ticket URL: <http://madwifi.org/ticket/1860> madwifi.org <http://madwifi.org/> Multiband Atheros Driver for Wireless Fidelity ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
