My suggestion above was to see whether the latest development version
("trunk") also shows the same behaviour as v0.9.4 does. You can get trunk
via [wiki:UserDocs/GettingMadwifi#DownloadingviaSubversion subversion] or
[wiki:UserDocs/GettingMadwifi#DownloadingthelatestSnapshots as snapshot
tarball].
Besides that there are ways to make your SMP system using one CPU only,
but there is no need to take this road at this point IMO.
