same problem here with ubuntu gutsy and
03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5418
802.11a/b/g/n Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
in a X60 tablet.
r3404 works, starting with r3405 nm-applet showed me scan results, but
association fails. manual configuration also fails.
