 Well no... #1679 says:
   "all AR5007 chipsets will have the PCI vendor/system IDs: 168c:001c. The
 description given by lspci can not necessarily be trusted."

 So the PCIID (that what lspci reports) is the same for AR5006 and AR5007.
 So yes, your laptop vendor has screwed you... unless you have a ia32/i386(
 or i686)/x86/32-bit linux distribution. Sorry!
