Unfortunately the machine in question was re-installed a few days ago with
windows :( I had tried a newer kernel that was part of rawhide a few weeks
before f9 was released and it had the same issues btw. but I don't recall
the exact version. This bug should probably be closed for now as I'm
unlikely to put linux back on the machine as I need a windows dev
environment for the next few months. Sorry :(
