well, from your description it sounds as if you are looking for a "extra"
monitor interface.?
run:
{{{
wlanconfig ath1 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor
ifconfig ath1 up
}}}
then you have to "sniff" with wireshark on the ath1 interface... => lots
of fun!
for the dropped frames stats, see "athstats" tool.
