This obviously is no "defect" in MadWifi, but a simple (and misplaced)
question. However, this ticket facility is not the right place for such
questions. Thus it should be taken to a more appropriate location, such as
the madwifi-devel mailing list or, as the question is not specific to
MadWifi, to the linux-wireless mailing list.
