I have an problem with madwifi. I installed acx100 and with that my card works without problems (D-Link DWL-650+). Now i uninstalled it and try to install madwifi. It seems so be successfully installed but i fail at creating an interface. I typed in: wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode sta I get response: wlanconfig: ioctl: No such device dmesg: (if i put it out and in) pccard: card ejected from slot 1 pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 1 ath_hal: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel. ath_hal: 0.9.18.0 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413) wlan: 0.8.4.2 (0.9.3.3) ath_pci: 0.9.4.5 (0.9.3.3) It should work, shouldnt? I rebootet my pc, same error. I read by a handful people the same problem, but there is another dmesg response.
