New description:
i have discover a bug while using the madwifi driver for a wlan interface
:
if you entered those command you always go to a kernel panic :
1. wlanconfig athX create wlandev wifiX wlanmode adhoc
2. iwconfig athX channel 1
3. iwconfig athX rate 54M
4. ifconfig athX up
5. iwpriv athX mode 11b
Than you have a kernel panic.

Ps: i know that this is not a usual use but i thought that it was
interesting to inform you of this feature.
