This is actually a known issue. I wrote [http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive
/madwifi-devel/2008/9/11/3266604 a bit about the background], but there
seems nobody available who understands enough of the timings to make a
proper fix.
Reverting the value to "slottime * 2 + 8" fixes 802.11a again, but it
seems not to be required for 802.11b/g. As this is inconsistend, I'm not
going to commit it to svn.
