I tried the madwifi/branches/madwifi-0.9.4 instead of the trunk and it
worked perfectly (as it did when Fedora 9 came out: not a single wifi0
message and with a full strength reliable connection). The recent versions
of akmod-madwifi on rpmfusion appear to be based on newer hal, despite
having "0.9.4" in some of their names (e.g., akmod-
madwifi-0.9.4-49.r3771.lvn9.x86_64).
