AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01) I tried to install atheros from latest trunk (madwifi- trunk-r4094-20090903) and so, there is ath0 and wifi0 adapters in my system, but iwlist ath0 scan gives my nothing. There is definitely exists wifi network not secured with anything, I checked this by another notebook Looks like wifi adapter is disabled, but wifi led is on, always on..
