I agree that Projects should receive a heavier Karma weight than
blog posts. (And you guys can figure out the math for IRC and
everything else). But, I also think that Karma should never go into
the negatives -- that just seems wrong to me. Couldn't Zero be the
floor?

I think the lower-limit of zero should apply to any particular blog
post, rather than all blog posts as a group. So a post with 1 heart
and 11 thumbs, would give 0 karma, rather than giving -10 karma and
reducing a second post with 11 hearts and 1 thumb to 0 karma.
