I really like the idea of using an upstream of some sort - but I feel this one is still in the desktop PC world of the 80s and 90s. 'Office' is an entirely inappropriate place to go to look for a Calendar/Address book etc on a personal device. I feel there needs to be something like 'People + Information'. This covers applications managing information I have about people, including me and my friends and colleagues. It's probably the most frequently accessed menu for 'normal' people. An interesting alternative name would be "My Life". The core is 'Contacts' but there is an implicit context of 'me' for things like calendaring. * Contacts and communication Contains: Address book, email, IM/IRC, VOIP, presence * Personal Planning Contains: Calendar, ToDo/List managers, maybe journey planning? Diary/Blogging * News RSS, tickers etc It is true that fixing freedesktop.org would be the correct solution :) David -- "Don't worry, you'll be fine; I saw it work in a cartoon once..." _______________________________________________ maemo-community mailing list [email protected] https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community
