Hi Jarmo, I spent part of the afternoon with Niels explaining the steps necessary to import maemo-baseline docs into wiki.maemo.org according to your instructions.
I explained that the steps were: 1. Unzip the toolchain from Jarmo, add a deb line pointing to the directory containing the packages, apt-get update, and install the toolchain packages (specifically, maemodoc-toolchain-mediawiki_0.2.6_all.deb) 2. Unzip the raw wiki text contents of the maemodoc-baseline docs 3. Run maemodoc-importwiki on the unzipped docs His response was, "that's not something you should be doing on a production server" (which is, pretty much, what I said a couple of weeks ago). Can you propose an alternative method for importing wiki pages and images from an external mediawiki instance into the main production one, without installing the maemodoc-toolchain and using it to write data directly to the production database? Thanks. Daniel, you mentioned that in the past you have done the intermediate load/dump thing - how did you handle image attachments and the other problems Jarmo identified? Cheers, Dave. -- maemo.org docsmaster Email: [email protected] Jabber: [email protected] _______________________________________________ maemo-community mailing list [email protected] https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-community
