By inheritance. Those Maemo users & developers who become MeeGo users & developers can move to meego.com. However it's not clear that the MeeGo community will take the same form as the Maemo community. Device vendors *may* have their own fora, or a third party one may accomodate them. It cannot make phone calls or send text messages in the public build, nor can it yet use a 3G data connection. MeeGo 1.1 is currently far from a day-to-day OS for the N900. As for MeeGo-Harmattan HE, this is a different beast. Will it benefit from the MeeGo ecosystem? If so, will developers be abstracted from the packaging system sufficiently?
