Meeting held 2014-11-04 on FreeNode, channel #maemo-meeting (logs)

Attending: (xes),
Jussi Ohenoja (juiceme), Philippe Coval (RzR), Peter Leinchen (peterleinchen)

Partial: Sicelo Mhlongo (sicelo), Paul Healey (sixwheeledbeast), (kolp)

Absent:

Summary of topics (ordered by discussion):

Dead/old/obsolete content on entry page http://maemo.org
Housekeeping: see above topic, changing ITT (InternetTabletTalk) labels
into TMO (talk.maemo.org), old/obsolete ITT-links
Ongoing tasks: referendum, Code of Conduct, karma, e.V. sub pages, letter
to Jolla

Topic (Dead/old/obsolete content on entry page http://maemo.org):

Still there are very old contents on the top page of m.o, like the
announcements from 2010/2013.
Council decided to get that announcements ticker on entry page of m.o
removed.
Furthermore there is the link to the "abandoned" Cordia project.
The Cordia project seems left alone since a long time, so the council
decided to get Cordia link removed, too (after some more investigations and
community input).
Board will be informed and should agree. Or give some arguments for keeping
them (e.g. for e.V. reasons, ...).
Council thought of other projects worth to put on front page and decided to
have Neo900.org as a valid successor. Kolp joined in and noted to get Doc's
approval.
RzR is going to get in contact with Doc and also smokku (or other
dev/supporter of Cordia) about that.

Topics (Housekeeping: see above topic, changing ITT (InternetTabletTalk) labels
into TMO (talk.maemo.org), old/obsolete ITT-links

On users profile page there still were labeled the forum thanks and posts
with ITT. As ITT is gone after hand-over of forum to Hildon, this should be
exchanged.
Xes did so on above mentioned page during meeting.
And pointed out that on this, that and that page it would not be so easy.
To be investigated how much effort this would need.
Another issue in same context was pointed out by endsormeans on TMO:
There are still lots of links floating around on TMO pointing to
www.internettablettalk.com but leading to Nirvana, please see here.
As this is a forum issue, endsormeans was asked to report that to
moderators.
Juiceme did some housekeeping to the mailing list logs and found that over
90% is just spam.

Topics (Ongoing tasks: referendum, Code of Conduct, karma, e.V. sub pages,
supporting freemangordon):

Finally the council voted on which Code of Conduct to take over for
maemo.org. It turned out that everybody had an own favourite. But the KDE one
was the one with the most acceptance. This one was chosen and will be reported
to board to have it as Code of Conduct for maemo.org, after it has been
reviewed and possibly adapted where needed.
It should go to front page of m.o and also integrated into t.m.o.
Juiceme is still trying to get some old contacts revived to help
freemangordon reverse engineering PulseAudio libraries.
The topics referendum and sub pages are again shifted to be discussed in
next week's meeting.
There was the question thrown in whether we still need the referendum as
council and board are not fighting each other.

Action Items:

    -- old items:
Check if karma calculation/evaluation is fixed. - Karma calculation
should work, only wiki entries (according to Doc) not considered. Works (might
be cross-checked...)
NielDK to prepare a draft for letter to Jolla. - Obsolete
Sixwheeledbeast to clarify the CSS issue on wiki.maemo.org with
techstaff. - Done
juiceme to create a wording draft for the referendum (to be
counterchecked by council members). - See
Peterleinchen to announce resignation of DocScrutinizer*/joerg_rw from
council. Done
Everybody to make up their own minds about referendum and give feedback.
    -- new items:
RzR to contact Doc (neo900) and smokku (cordia)
Next weeks tasks: referendum, sub pages on m.o for e.V.
