If/when they do include it, they better go for SQLite3 (not 2). SQLite3 has a revised API, better binary efficiency and so on. SQLite2 has all data stored internally as strings, the two are not compatible.

Excellent idea. This would also help me in porting applications from Palm's databse format to a simple Blob Stream in SqlLite. Anyways, great idea to have SqlLite as part of maemo. This would enhance interoperabilty.
