Well, the only advice I can give (= getting a menu to work an all
AppViews) is to simply have just one of them.
That's why I brought the issue up, would like to see more comments..
Remember, it's not enough to set up identical menus, if you also use
"ticked" menu items; there really needs to be only One, so the states
will remain managable.

One thing I've found a bit awkward with multiple
AppViews is that

In my case, that is exactually the main issue. I
*must* to share the same menu between my appviews, and
that is the why I am trying the remove and add widgets
into the same hildonAppView during the switch.
While this makes sense in porting existing X11
applications (separate
bar per window) it works badly with Mac OS X based
menu ideology (the
app only has one, central, menubar). The ability to
declare a common
menu for all the appviews would, in my opinion, be a
Very Nice
Thing. Multiple menus in small, portable apps, may
even be regarded
as overly complex usability-wise, I think.
