Qt/e will still need a framebuffer. whether is is a virtual framebuffer or

At least with qvfb (qvfb is similar to xvfb), one can run many instances. So
every running qt/e application can have its own virtual framebuffer. You must
export QWS_DISPLAY=QVFb:0 or QVFb:1. Or use just one vfb, and run many
applications in that.
Just for this reason, least in my opinion, using Qt/e is out of the
question. I think that
it will be wery dificult even to try to make Qt application intrgration
to Maemo desktop
if everyone of them is running in own virtual framebuffer and even more
if they
are running completelly own Qtopia desktop inside of virtual framebuffer
window...
Still i think that target should be that Qt applications need to be
possible integrate
as closelly as possible to Maemo so that ordinary users see onlyvery
minor diferencies
in look and feel just like in Linux desktop. So, Qt/X11 and with Maemo
input methods,
themes and Maemo desktop interface adaptations will be best choice.
