Thanks Sven for all you did for the zaurus community.
The success of the zaurus was mainly because of the existence of your
ZSI.
For sure, adding a Maemo section would be very interesting and if
zaurus users like i used to be (maybe you know the infamous sukoshi
kernel ;) ) switch to Nokia770, they will be familiar with the
website :)

Have a look on what the zaurus community did for their catalog :

This is my page.
While it has been updated every now and then in the last two years
there
hasn't been any work done on this in that timespan.
The Zaurus Software Index is also missing quite a lot of interesting
features.
I have received one of the 770 from the developer program and my
plan is
the revive my sofware index as a more general "embedded linux software
index" so maemo applications can happily be listed next to zaurus and
other applications (it would of course be easy to switch to maemo-only
or zaurus-only or whatever else only view or even have a different
entry
page).
I have tried getting hold of the sourcecode for one of the more
prominent software-index pages (kde-apps, freshmeat, ...) but that
seems
to be impossible as they are not readily available and the maintainers
owners all have their reasons not to publish the sourcecode.
So I'm planning to restart from scratch (of course importing the
current
content of the zsi). The plan is to implement the site in ruby on
rails.
I have already created a (mostly empty) svn repository and a trac-
installation
at http://killefiz.de/elsi/trac/
So if you have any feature requests feel free to post them at the
trac-site or email me to discuss them.
Also email me if you would like to help make the new general software
index a reality - I don't think I'll be able to finish this alone in a
reasonable timeframe.
Oh - and if you think having yet another listing sucks and I should
rather not work on this feel free to send an email too.
