I have mplayer working in my nokia 770. I first tried with the official mplayer and I have a problem because no libXv lib is in the device.
After that I look for mplayer for zaurus, they have it prepared without libXv dependecie so.... just follow the steps at

and finally a full mplayer!!!!
it is necesary to do some work: fullscreen mode, audio is not working at the moment...
but it works!!
