I think this limitation has something to do with the word 'Internet' in
the API name. Because for simplicity there is only one 'Internet' you
want to connect to. What I am missing is generic networking or
connectivity settings like the 'Network connections' panel in MS
Windows. I hoped the connection manager GUI could evolve into something
like this but if it is tied to this Internet Connectivity API it will
remain quite limited if there is one connection limit and you can only
select 'Disconnect' if you are already connected.
It would be nice if we could put VPN connection or other types of
connections to the same connection manager and just see list of
connections under connect and disconnect menu items in the 'globe' applet.
