2006/4/20, Jerry Keith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
While downloading the new bin image, I read the end user agreement for
to this download.
While IANAL, it seems that this agreement restricts the usage of the
LGPL and GPL software, which is a violation of both licenses.

Among other things:

(End user agreement)
"You may make one copy of the Software on magnetic media as an archival
backup copy, provided Your archival backup copy is not installed or
used on any computer. Any other copies You make of the Software are in
violation of this Agreement."
"You may not reverse engineer, reverse compile, disassemble, or
otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software (except
to the extent that this restriction is expressly prohibited by law)
or create derivative works based on the Software."

This may be because of closed source software (i.e. the Opera web browser) included into the firmware bin image.
