Well then maybe it's using 100mW rather than 10mW :-)

Seriously power != range. I find mine works best with 10mW. I can be anywhere in the house and the connection is perfect. It probably helps a little with power consumption too.

With radio never assume that the greatest power will give the greatest working range.

Hi,

the power is set to 100mW and will be used for new connections, too
(that's what advanced setting shows). I also tried flashing all the
software images available, they showed the same result.
