Only for Gtk programs. Gtk sets the WM_CLASS automatically to
the binary name. For SDL programs the SDL_VIDEO_X11_WMCLASS
environment variable was needed also in older releases.
I was talking about StartupWMClass field in .desktop file. It was not
needed because the default is the binary name which is OK as long as
SDL_VIDEO_X11_WMCLASS is set to the same name.
