Hmmm...for what it's worth I use my Motorola E815 from Verizon with
Bluetooth DUN all the time on multiple platforms...plain-vanilla Debian
Linux, the Nokia, and the Sharp Zaurus running OpenZaurus (no XP
though)...I assume this modification is something along the lines of
typing ##DIALUP into the keypad? (that's what I did)

If you have access to a Linux installation that can do Bluetooth you
might be able to see more information about what's going on using the
Bluez tools and pppd. Getting more information about what the various
components are trying to do is key to figuring out why this doesn't
work.
