Remapping Enter alone won't help you with VKBD popping up when input
field is activated. You can switch off virtual keyboard completely by
$ maemo-gtk-im-switch xim
when you connect your keyboard and later enable it again by
$ maemo-gtk-im-switch osso-input-method
when you disconnect it. Bluetooth plugin calls this automatically and
btkbd used with kbdd does it too.
