I've been trying to find the time to get at least some Java VM running on my N770, the new JavaME release looks like a good candidate so we get at least MIDP. I'll be looking into the procedure posted earlier today for sure (JAVA on Nokia 770: simple and easy! http://sebas-nokia770.blogspot.com/2006/12/java-on-nokia-770-simple-and-easy .html), may-be the problem has been solved already :-)
That would be great. There is a Java based character generation tool for the role-playing game "The Dark Eye" which would come handy if it would run on the 770.
