is there a pin with 3V output voltage, which one? I have thought of using the 4th normally unused pin (see english wikipedia for more information) of the mini usb jack to get 3 volts outside the device. there connect a power up converter like MAX 756 to this pin and inject the 5v output to the normal power pins. I think that might work, but I haven't tested yet. mfg ah
