Hi Group,
I just cross-compiled the UAE Amiga emulator to the Nokia 770.
Getting about 10fps in Arkanoid. It's much prettier than the Atari ST version.
The config menu kinda almost works. Keyboard works. Mouse works, but absolute
positioning with
touchscreen not so much. Sound still not working.
As a related note, I made a build for my N800 for awhile back. The
configuration GUI needed a small tweak to get it displayed at least
semi-sensibly on the screen (basically, the layout didn't quite fit
nicely into the available space, so I had to make parts of it
scrollable). The configuration UI code seems to be quite buggy/made
originally for quite ancient GTK version, however...
I think the sound is somewhat doomed to not be usable with 770 or 800,
as there just doesn't seem to be enough CPU power and thus the sound
came in ankward short bursts when I tried to enable it. (However, I
managed to get uade¹ to play most 4-channel Amiga modules I tried it
with nicely after some compiler flag experimentation, so the sound in
itself seems to be emulated OK)
¹ Uade is a player that plays Amiga songs through emulation, see
