All,
has anyone been working on getting the Kismet 802.11 layer2 wireless
network detector, sniffer, and intrusion detection system running on the
Maemo platform?
For those not already aware of Kismet here is the url to the www page
for the product:
http://www.kismetwireless.net/documentation.shtml
Earlier this year, at the EMC(2)/RSA Security conference, a small
company, Immunity Inc., demoed a pen testing tool running on the Nokia
770/N800, called the Silica. Here is the url to the www page for that
product:
http://www.immunityinc.com/products-silica.shtml
some ZDnet "press" coverage:
http://content.zdnet.com/2346-12691_22-53766-1.html
and, some eweek coverage:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,2003853,00.asp
It is not at all clear from the information at Immunity's www site
whether or not they utilize Kismet on the Nokia platform to perform the
802.11 layer 2 aspects of what this product does.
