Hi, sorry but I had overlooked this one (please use maemo-developers for anything concerning development)

I don't know the issues with this specific package. In principle Python 2.5 packages are in extras and not in the SDK repository. Also in principle, no developer should rely on dependencies on packages in the SDK repository for their software for end users. End users shouldn't need to have the SDK repository in their sources. If a developer is contributing a package to extras with dependencies to packages not available in the device or the official repositories, she could always upload the dependent packages to extras as well. Or what is the issue? In any case, Chinook's install files will provide more flexibility allowing developers to point to more than one repository for retrieving dependencies. -- Quim Gil - http://maemo.org _______________________________________________ maemo-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
