selectively disabling virtual keyboard

    Is is possible to create a text box that doesn't show the virtual
    keyboard when it receives the focus? For example, if it were
    possible to fake the system into thinking a hardware keyboard was
    connected when a particular text box is activated and then
    disconnect the fake keyboard on focus loss, that would probably be
    sufficient.
