The same happened to me. After installing the rtcomm beta update my N810 got trashed and ended in a reboot loop. Only a OS reflash fixed it.
After installing the rtcomm update (and before rebooting) i noticed that chat no longer worked and modest crashed as well (presumably trying to access some rtcomm profile information).
