Ok. Ask your lawyer yourself first. The thread is exactly about the same. Making money on community developed Linux based projects and corporate ownership of such projects. Hardware key locked embedded hardware is exactly the way to x-transfer ownership of any community developed project (open source) to manufacturer of any such embedded hardware.
