I have gotten a sb2 environment set up on my debian etch machine by half upgrading it to lenny (testing) where necessary.
sb2 seems to mostly work, but I cannot actually install anything using apt-get. When I run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, I get the following: /bin/sh: line 1: /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure: No such file or directory dpkg: requested operation requires superuser privilege E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) [SB2 emulate chinook40_armel] I have no [EMAIL PROTECTED] joshua $ so it looks like it is using the wrong dpkg (i.e. it is trying to use the system dpkg)- I followed the instructions here: http://maemo-sdk.garage.maemo.org/install.html including the step to replace the sb2 dpkg. I do not want to try any apt-get command with sudo even inside sb2, because if it is misconfigured, it could really trash my system (nor do the examples show sb2 apt-get requiring sudo) I ultimately (or initially at least) just want to be able to build roadmap for maemo - I have tried: sb2 ./configure from within the source directory and I get a missing libgpsmgr-dev apt-get install libgpsmgr-dev returns a package not found. Is there a step I am missing? Any pointers on getting up and running with this would be very much appreciated. Please let me know if I can provide any additional details.
