I am not sure why you need a new library. We've proposed already in the past to the community the possibility to work together in the missing widgets, specially these you mention. We have no problem on pushing these widgets to Hildon if you are willing to contribute. Anyone with patches and/or good mockups is free to join hildon-de...@garage.maemo.org and to attach these in Bugzilla. We'll review patches as time allows (and will probably have more time to help soon).
