Ctrl-f is very commonly used as Find. Users are used to that. But what about something like Ctrl-Volume (up/down) key? Or Ctrl-Camera Key. That way you aren't actually "taking" overriding a existing "used" key. And it could be used by pretty much any program that needed it w/o it being used for some other hotkey.
