Indeed. I look forward to the sight of Brainstorm having selected the most practical, implementable and deployable solution; and Nokia changing UI specs to enable this change to ripple through the stack and the process being joined up enough to get this into users' hands in a timely manner. However, in the meantime, the community icon would seem to be the stopgap. It'd be interesting to get the HAM developers' thoughts on developing & shipping the proposed fix. Although maemo-developers is the official mailing list for HAM, might be worth a poke at this thread.
