You are supposed to use something like this in order to create a model
GtkTreeIter iter;
GtkListStore *model = gtk_list_store_new (1, GDK_TYPE_PIXBUF);
for (i = 0; i < 100; i++) {
GdkPixbuf *pixbuf = gdk_pixbuf_new (GDK_COLORSPACE_RGB,
FALSE, 8, 100, 100);
gtk_list_store_append (model, &iter);
gtk_list_store_set (model, &iter, 0, pixbuf, -1);
}
