Andrea, pardon my asking but... what is wrong with the internal data counter? (Settings, Phone, Home/Roaming Data counter) I guess it could be accessed programmatically. Incidentally, I have the same option and it is 3GB/month, not 100MB/day (though it used to be like that a few months ago).
