Hi Pedro,
I got to the same conclusion, so I brought the device
to www.telecare.dk to a guy at the counter
who troubles beliving that it really is not a phone.. very
comforting..
Oh well, They'll send it to Nokias official repairshop
here in DK, so let's see what then happens - and how long time it'll
take..
Thanks for the help :)

You have two options... send the device back to nokia (I did it with my first one), it should be easy but nokia's customer service is like a pain in the ass (sorry to be rude). They will return you the money (no device replacement)
With the second one (yes two devices, two bite the dust) I prefer to use the repair shop, as it is much more easy to me than trying to fight with customer service...
Good luck

:-O I suppose it's because of the 7710, which _is_ a phone but has
large touchscreen as well.
But having the device serviced is really the only option you have. So
that's why they couldn't tell you more: there isn't anything else to say
apart from the fact that if the LCD is broken, it has to be replaced.

It should help ... afaik nobody has complained after following that
procedure.
