Maemo mapper crashed often while downloding maps. I tried fsck.vfat -at /dev/sde. It took ages and found many brocken files. Mostly 0kb maps. Anyway, I created a new partition and formated /dev/sde1. Works well so far. It puzzled me that the fs type has to be vfat. ext2 seems not supported?
