Mac OS X 10.4: Displaying the date and time You can have an analog or digital clock appear in the menu bar or in a floating window on your desktop. You can also choose how the time appears (for example, you can choose to see the day of the week, or use a 24-hour clock). I don't know what they do to the locale, but 24 hour format is just a checkbox on the clock tab in the date and time system preferences.
