One thing I've noticed that's lacking with the N800 audio playback is the ability to note where you are in an audio track to enable resuming if you choose to pause / quit and return. This happens frequently with longer programming like podcasts or audiobooks and is something that works based on either or both the filetype and classification on an iPod.
This does not work in either the Media Player or Canola... not sure if it's an app or a system thing, but adding this type of functionality would greatly enhance the consumption of content in my opinion.
