in addition to my last answer more details. On my 9510 is TomTom Mobile 5.20installed and on menue 5-3-3 which means "Kompass Einstellung" ther is the option north up.

My point was simply that lack of "north-up" doesn't seem to be an issue for many users, if TomTom can be a market leader without that feature. Julf
