That's key. That's why I never will invest in a "smart phone". Why be
locked into a specific carrier or subset of carriers, or risk laying
out an extremely significant amount of cash only to have a useless
device thrown in a drawer? Or worse, end up carring two phones, one
that works like a phone and another that doesn't, with the functions
that remain being compromised by phone form factors. The Internet
Tablets have lots of uses beyond Internet access, and will be useful
with whatever carrier and wireless technology is available.
Flexibility vs. compromise...
