>From my perspective, I have no problems combining as long as the screen size isn't reduced. I like a big screen for spreadsheets, etc. but don't want to get something as large as the Sony Vaio (which I bought for my wife). I currently have the N800 (bought it when it first came out) and N810 (which I bought around this time last year). I'm happy with the 810 but would consider something else if the Internet speed were faster, the processor faster, and there's more internal memory.

I'd rather not. I already have a perfectly working phone, and I don't want to combine phone and PDA: you look such a prat trying to work a Many of the points made are good ones, but to each his own on this one. Personally, I am 100% behind convergence for my pocket devices. I don't want to carry more than one. I may look like a "prat" with my microphone-equipped earbuds plugged into my phone, but no more than any other person listening to music, or really anyone walking down the street with one hand held against their head. These days, those people look stranger to me than ones that have their hands free. > ...but I strongly suspect that those "leaked" specs are all somebody's fantasy. I think the GPS and accelerometer probably are. I doubt it. The N810 already has GPS in it, and Nokia is shipping both of these items (and more) with devices that are fully subsidized. I wouldn't want the N900 to only come as a subsidized option, but I would like to see it in both subsdized (carrier-tied) models and fully open ones. Choice is always good.
