You can use IP forwarding with Maemo PC Connectivity. By default it works with 
Diablo (N8x0) devices but with N900 you need to recompile Fremantle (N900) 
kernel to add NAT support for it.

There are some known issues with N900 compared to N8x0 devices that are listed

Some of the issues have workarounds but not all.
